Midland Woodworking and Woodturning Exhibition

Fosse Way, Radford Semele, Leamington Spa, Warwickshire.

1995, 1996, 1997, 1998, 1999, 2000

Yes! Six years in succession MWA have been invited back to this national woodturning exhibition.

Al Jones.jpg (147402 bytes)   As we do at ATME and FOF we have a display of around 100 to 150 items of woodturning from members of all abilities, from the relatively inexperienced to the more accomplished. We feel that the club display is about all of our members and not just an elite band. Our display items cover the full range of turning from Bowls and Goblets to Chairs and Tables.

Ten or so of our members man the stand for the three days of the show and do a little turning (we usually take three lathes) and a lot of talking (Boy! Can we talk!).

To have been invited back for the sixth year running says it all.

The shows are perhaps the highlight of the year for many of our members as the ‘buzz’ we get from being ‘stars for the day’ is unbelievable (and we even get free tickets for members just visiting for the day).

Run by Meridienne Exhibitions, this show is a credit to it's organisors, Chris Deith, Joy Herbert and their team as it is one of the friendliest on the woodworking and woodturning calendar.
